This Privacy Policy describes how Upstart Raven LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and handles information when you use The Playwright's Desk ("the service"). By using the service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address. This is stored by Netlify Identity, our authentication provider, and is used solely to authenticate your login and communicate with you about your account.
Subscription information. When you subscribe, your payment is processed by Lemon Squeezy. We receive confirmation of your subscription status (active, trial, cancelled, etc.) and your email address. We do not receive or store your credit card number or payment details — these are handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy.
Application data. All data you enter into The Playwright's Desk — plays, submissions, contacts, royalties, licensing records, emails, career events, and all other content — is stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage on your own device. This data never leaves your browser and is never transmitted to or stored on our servers. We have no access to this data.
Usage data. We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage data (such as which modules are used most frequently) to help us improve the service. This data cannot be used to identify you.
Communications. If you contact us by email, we retain that correspondence to respond to your inquiry.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information for advertising. We do not share your information with third parties except as described in this policy.
The Playwright's Desk uses the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.
Your application data is stored in your browser's localStorage and never transmitted to our servers. This means it is as secure as your own device — and it also means we cannot recover it if you clear your browser data, use a different browser, or lose access to your device. We strongly recommend exporting regular backups using the built-in export feature.
Account and subscription information is protected by industry-standard security measures implemented by Netlify and Lemon Squeezy respectively.
We retain your account email address for as long as your account exists. If you cancel your subscription and request account deletion, we will delete your account information within 30 days. Subscription records may be retained for longer periods as required by financial record-keeping obligations.
Your application data exists only in your browser and is under your control entirely. We have no role in its retention or deletion.
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact us at help@theplaywrightsdesk.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Because your application data is stored locally on your device, you have direct and complete control over it at all times — you can export, modify, or delete it without contacting us.
The Playwright's Desk is intended for professional use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice in the application. The effective date at the top of this page reflects when the policy was last updated.
